EDDY Foods has deep roots in the small town of Yoakum, deep in the heart of Texas. Here in Yoakum, the people of EDDY come to work each day and make some of the highest‐quality, best‐tasting beef, pork, poultry and bakery items found anywhere in the US. We’ve been doing this for more than 65 years.
It all started back in 1953 when E.R. “Eddy” Mayrant, his wife, and a small team of hard‐working Texans built a successful meat‐packing business ‐‐ “Eddy Packing, Co.”‐‐ with a commitment to producing high quality foods “Made with Family Pride.”
This small downtown Yoakum‐based enterprise grew through the years and in 1973 we moved into our current modern
300,000 square‐foot BRC A‐Rated facility located just minutes from our original location.
Eddy Packing, Co. was acquired by Insight Equity.

We provide our retail, private label, and food service partners with flavorful, high‐quality meat products. EDDY Foods continues to expand our branded retail product line into new territories and serve up innovative solutions for our customers.
